Brantford Police  don’t even go there idiot – it was not me -   ( INC# 11-12302)   On April 7, 2011 at approximately 1030 a.m., a woman was walking along the entrance to Waterfront Park near Eagle Ave.  A man approached her from behind and threw her to the ground where they struggled.  The man lost grip of the woman who fled the scene. The man was last seen running into the park, away from the victim. The woman received minor injuries as a result of the attack.  A Canine Unit from the Waterloo Regional Police Service was called in to assist the officers; however, the suspect was not located.  The male was described as being white, approximately 5’11”, brown collar length hair and was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.  Although both incidents are similar in nature, investigators have not determined the attacks were committed by the same man. They are encouraging all women to be aware of these incidents and be cautious when walking alone, especially in isolated areas such as parks, paths or alleyways.
